Last weekend Zoe and I returned to my parents house to visit and go camping for a long weekend. Bald Eagle State Park is really nice! We spent time taking a long hike, walking down to the beach on the lake, swimming, riding bikes, and kayaking a bit. It rained really really hard one afternoon so we spent most of that day in mom & dads camper playing games. Zoe loved riding in the wagon and riding her bike with the big kids around the campground loop. She also had a great time splashing in the water at the beach and riding in the kayak with me. We also had a lot of fun on Friday night when Granddad and my cousin Andrew joined us to fish a bit and then have dinner – bison burgers and cake – to celebrate Granddad’s 87th birthday. Every night we watched the bats emerge from the nearby bat house and then had marshmallows by the fire. Zoe stayed in the camper with Nan & Grandpa Joe while I tented on my own in dads new little backpacker tent. Great!
