Today was Zoe’s first day of swim lessons at the Y. It was fun, they sang some songs, played with water toys, blew bubbles into the water, jumped from the edge, and chased a torpedo. Since she’s under 3 it’s a still a parent-child class, but Zoe did most everything on her own while I enjoyed floating in the cool water. The teacher showed us how to tie a pool noodle around her belly so she could have independence and it forces her to swim forward. Neato. We’ll continue this week and then she will go back the last week of the month after her birthday for the preschool (no-parents) class!
