Since he was little, Avi has been fascinated by the site of Pompeii. He has always been interested in volcanos and natural disasters. So, that’s where we went, next. it was another long drive south past Rome to Naples, but we arrived in the evening at our hotel right by the entrance to the archaeology park.

We all the next day to explore Pompeii. Slim Jim came along and needed to be inside my doggy backpack when we went inside buildings. The place was amazing. Like seeing an old Roman town, complete with roadside cafe’s and peoples houses. Its so well preserved. The place was massive, and we tried to see it all!

After Pompeii we headed south to Sicily.
